BEFORE use
Before first use, rinse the campagnard with warm water and mild detergent, then dry it thoroughly.
DURING use
Thanks to the tight-fitting lid, moisture remains in the pan during cooking: it condenses and drips back into your dish. Do NOT use metal utensils; use silicone, wooden, or plastic spatulas to prevent scratching or marking the enamel. The lid is easy to lift thanks to the heat-resistant knob (up to 260 °C). Preferably cook on medium or low heat for the best results and heat the pan gradually. If you do use high heat, lower it as soon as the desired temperature is reached.
Note: never slide the pan across a glass stovetop. This can damage the base of the pan and the stovetop. Lift the pan instead.
AFTER use
First remove any food residues from the bottom and edges. Do not put the pan in the dishwasher and do not pour cold water into it immediately, as this can damage the pan. Is there stuck-on food on the bottom? Fill the pan with warm water and mild detergent and let it soak for 15 to 20 minutes. Then, clean the pan with a soft cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or brushes. Dry the pan thoroughly after washing and store it in a dry place. Use protective material if you stack pans.
