What types of peelers are there?
There are different types of peelers, each suitable for specific tasks:
- Standard peeler: ideal for peeling potatoes, carrots and fruit.
- Julienne peeler: makes thin strips of vegetables for salads, garnishes or recipes.
- Ice-hardened steel peeler: extra sharp and durable, suitable for intensive use and professional applications.
- Peeler with plastic handle: light and sturdy, for comfortable use.
Materials and maintenance
Our peelers are made of high-quality materials such as stainless steel and Friodur ice-hardened steel. Stainless steel is easy to maintain and rust-resistant, while ice-hardened steel stays sharp for a long time. The peelers are easy to clean; some models are dishwasher safe, but hand washing extends the life of the blade. Always dry thoroughly after use to maintain optimal performance.
Usage tips
- Peel vegetables and fruits using even strokes for best results.
- Use a julienne peeler to make thin strips of, for example, carrot or zucchini.
- Store the peeler safely in a drawer or holder so that the blade remains protected.
