BEFORE use
Before using the kettle for the first time, you should first rinse it with warm water and detergent and then dry it thoroughly. After cleaning, you should first fill the kettle with water by removing the lid and pouring cold water into the kettle. Let it boil and once it is done, throw the water away. After that, the kettle is ready for use.

DURING use

When using induction, make sure that you do NOT use the 'boost' function of the induction hob. Also make sure that the hob has the right size for the kettle. If this is not done, the induction hob cannot 'recognize' the kettle. If you do need to use a high heat, this is possible, but you should immediately turn the heat down when the desired temperature is reached. Put the handle up properly while heating up. This prevents the handle from overheating. Note: Never slide the product over a glass hob/stove. This can damage the bottom of the kettle and the glass plate. Instead of sliding, it is best to lift the kettle.

AFTER use: Maintenance tips and recommendations
Clean the kettle by hand after each use. When cleaning, use neutral detergent and no abrasive scouring agents or cleaning agents. This can damage the surface of the kettle. Always dry the kettle well to prevent limescale. Do not leave water in the kettle when you are not using it.

If necessary, you can remove the limescale by filling the kettle to the maximum level marked in the kettle. Top this up with a mixture of 50% water and 50% white vinegar and let it simmer for 20 minutes.

With the Tradition Whistling Kettle from Le Creuset , you add a touch of luxury and functionality to your kitchen, ready for any culinary challenge.
